Marriage is a Sacrament, which means that Jesus Christ is present to the married couple not only on their wedding day but during every day of their married life.
Much preparation surrounds a wedding, a spiritual commitment of promises and of pledges, and an expression of the faith of the couple involved. In the Church, we take marriage seriously, as a lifelong commitment. Because of such a commitment, the Church expects much of a couple anticipating marriage and we make no apologies for such expectations.
A church wedding reflects the faith of the couple and calls on the Lord to witness their commitment. At Sacred Heart we have wedding guidelines to help acquaint the couple anticipating marriage with the requirements and expectations of them both, in preparation for marriage and in the actual wedding ceremony.
We look forward to helping you plan your wedding and to help make the wedding ceremony a reflection of your Faith and your Commitment to God and to one another.
If you wish to discuss celebrating the Sacrament of Marriage at Sacred Heart, please call the church office to schedule an appointment with Padre Juan.
